Sri Ananthasayanam's 120th Birth Anniversary Today...!
The fourth of February is the birthday of Sri Madabhushi Ananthasayanam Ayyangar, the Pride of Tirupati. This is his 120th Birth Anniversary. Ayyangar's contributions to Tirupati are very significant. It is none other than Ayyangar, who fought against Mahants and made Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams free from their clouts during British rule. Ayyangar was responsible for the establishment and development of Sanskrit vidyaapeth in Tirupati, which is enjoying University status today. He did the best for the welfare and well being of the people with leprosy.
He is very honest through out his life and used to depend on cycle rikshaw even after enjoying the highest positions in the government like Speaker of Loksabha and Governor of Bihar. He lead very very simple life and proved himself the True Leader of this country.
Madabhushi Ananthasayanam Institute of Public Affairs (MAIPA)is celebrating his birth anniversary today.

TIRUPATI: A. Gnanam, former Chairman of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), a wing of the University Grants Commission (UGC), opined that public affairs has become a line of work fraught with undesirable and uninspiring elements, with the best of brains tending to look away.
Speaking at the 77th birthday celebrations of Dr. Agarala Eswara Reddi, former Speaker of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly, here on Tuesday, he said people like him should focus more on public issues with due analysis and study.
“Given his expertise, Dr. Reddi should focus on issues spanning public affairs, academic, constitution, judiciary and so on,” Prof. Gnanam commented, recalling the leader's non-controversial approach and industrious efforts towards rapprochement when he was at the helm of affairs.
His books on higher education and politics are highly appreciated by readers of Tamil Nadu also, he noted.
He later unveiled Dr. Reddi's blog - http://dragaralasdiary.blog
