Sri Ananthasayanam's 120th Birth Anniversary Today...!

The fourth of February is the birthday of Sri Madabhushi Ananthasayanam Ayyangar, the Pride of Tirupati. This is his 120th Birth Anniversary. Ayyangar's contributions to Tirupati are very significant. It is none other than Ayyangar, who fought against Mahants and made Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams free from their clouts during British rule. Ayyangar was responsible for the establishment and development of Sanskrit vidyaapeth in Tirupati, which is enjoying University status today. He did the best for the welfare and well being of the people with leprosy.

He is very honest through out his life and used to depend on cycle rikshaw even after enjoying the highest positions in the government like Speaker of Loksabha and Governor of Bihar. He lead very very simple life and proved himself the True Leader of this country.
